Route 47 Resurfacing Delay

The project engineer for IDOT has postponed the resurfacing of Route 47 from the state line to Route 173 until the Spring of 2020 as the paving contractor has been too busy to get to this project before bad weather arrives.  Thank you for your patience and understanding regarding this issue.


If you happen to see a lost Border Collie in the Village or the surrounding area, please contact Shannon at or contact the Hebron Police Department at 815-648-2351.  The dog is missing from a home on Button Road and could possibly have been stolen from the owner's yard on October 28th.  Please be on the lookout!!!  Hopefully, we can return this poor pup to his home soon.  Thank you very much!!! 

Approved Solicitor - Edward Jones

There will be a representative from Edward Jones soliciting in the Village the weeks of November 4th and 11th.  The respresentative has been screened by the Village Police Department and has been approved.  He will conclude daily prior to 5 p.m. and he will have business cards to hand out upon request.  Thank you!

Help Wanted - Village of Hebron Public Works

Must be able to perform general labor duties, lawn maintenance, snowplowing, street, water and sewer repairs, equipment maintenance and repair.  These duties are normal for this position, but are not exclusive; other duties may be required.  A CDL license is required or must be able to have one within 90 days.  The position is 40 hours per week; some weekend work may be required.  The pay range is $14 to $17 per hour.

Village Clerk's Office Closed Wednesday, October 16 through Tuesday, October 22, 2019

The Clerk will be on vacation from Wednesday, October 16 through Tuesday, October 22 and the office will be closed during this time.  The Village Treasurer will be checking my phone messages (815-648-2353, Ext. 10) while I am away.  Water and Sewer payments can be made Monday through Thursday from 1-3 p.m. and Friday 1-4 p.m. in the Water/Sewer Department (entrance is in the back of the Village Hall building).  As always, payments can be left in the drop box outside the front of the building or paid online on the Village website at

Fire Hydrant Flushing Complete

The Village Fire Hydrant Flushing is now complete.  Thank you very much for your patience and understanding during this process!  


Hebron Township will be working on an emergency culvert repair on Kemman Road.  Kemman Road will be closed on Tuesday, October 1 from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. between Price and Okeson roads!

Village Wide Brush Pickup

The Village of Hebron Public Works Department will be completing the Fall Brush Pickup during the first and third weeks of October 2019.  Please pile brush next to the street and they will be around during the two weeks mentioned to pick it up.

Village of Hebron - Trick or Treat Hours

The Village of Hebron will hold their October 31st, 2019 Trick or Treat hours from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m.  Have some ghoulish fun, but be safe out there!!!
