News from the Water/Sewer Billing Department

PLEASE NOTE:

The February billing process had to be expedited this month and so some ON-TIME payments were not posted until AFTER billing was completed. A listing of account numbers and names was documented, and a late fee did not apply to those accounts. Unfortunately, that means the ending balance on your current invoice may be wrong. The invoices were mailed out without it reflecting some payments.  I apologize for this but there was no other way to complete billing in a timely manner. In addition, some accounts will have to be billed manually because they did not post an invoice for 02/01/24.

You can email me at wsbilling@villageofhebron.com and ask me about your balance. I will be happy to send you a reply with the account balance. Please include your name, address, account # and phone number on the request. We truly appreciate your understanding on this matter.

Regards,

The Village of Hebron W&S Billing Clerk

As a friendly reminder all payments are due ON/BY the 1st of every month. Please drop your payments in the drop box or pay them through EPAY on the 1st ! Payment will be collected on Saturday, March 2, and the billing process will begin.  Any payments received after they are collected from the drop box after 9AM on Saturday, March 2, 2024, will be considered late. A 10% penalty will be added to your account if your payment is late. Payments made through EPAY can be put in on the 1st and they are considered on time payments.

Potential Temporary Water Shut Offs & Boil Orders East of Route 47

This week Thursday, February 8, and Friday, February 9, there may be temporary water shut offs east of Route 47 due to the construction on Prairie Avenue.  There is also a potential for the same on Monday, February 12.  If you lose water, a boil order will be in effect until further notice.

Again, we are very sorry for the inconvenience.  Thank you for your understanding!

McHenry County Lead Safe Homes Program

The mission of the McHenry County Lead Safe Homes program (Spanish - Lead Safe program) is to eliminate childhood lead poisoning in all low- and moderate-income privately-owned rental and/or owner-occupied housing populations throughout McHenry County.  This goal will be achieved using identification and control of lead-based paint hazards. We are committed to making healthy homes and safe environments available to all children aged 5 and under in the county by addressing a multitude of hazards in area homes where children are or can be present.  To access the program's website and application link or to access by using a QR code please click here.  For more information, please click on the embedded links inserted above.

2024 Changes to the Village of Hebron Senior Bus Services

The McHenry County Senior Transportation Grant Board has requested the Village of Hebron, Richmond Township, and McHenry Township join forces to create a Northeastern Transportation District (please follow the embedded link for more information). This partnership will allow us to service Village residents more efficiently and effectively, allowing us to expand our services. This will no longer be a weekly service, but this does mean you can request a ride on an as needed basis. Richmond Township Vehicles (buses/vans/cars) will now be employed for transport, and this service will remain free of charge.

YOU WILL NOW NEED TO CALL TO SCHEDULE RIDE SERVICE.

To schedule your ride, call Diana at 815-678-0077

Scheduling rides on an as needed basis allows us to provide transportation to pharmacies, doctor’s appointments, grocery shopping, etc. at your convenience.

If you have any questions regarding the Village of Hebron or the grant process; please contact your Village Treasurer, Katherine Andrus at 815-648-2353 ex. 12.

Friendly Reminder from the Water and Sewer Billing Department

Payments are due ON/BY the 1st of every month.  Please pay your invoices for November,  ON/BY December 1, 2023, because billing is going to be started after 2PM on Saturday, December 2, 2023. The billing process can take up to 5-6 days to complete. Please just drop your payments into the payment box or pay them through EPAY at the village’s website ON or BY December 1, 2023.  The building will not be open to the public on December 2, 2023, and I will be working varying hours. When I come in, I will collect all payments from the drop box, post office, EPAY and process them. Any payments that come in after I start billing will be considered late. Unfortunately, If I waited until Monday, December 4, 2023, to start the billing process it would push it into the week of December 11, 2023, before that were mailed out.  We appreciate your understanding in this matter. Thank you!
