St. John's Lutheran Church will be hosting a dinner and Basket RaffleFundraiser to help offset the cost of their new multi-purpose shed which is was much-needed addition to St. John's to help better serve all the wonderful members, groups and orgaizations in the community. The building was contructed by Olson Home Improvements, LLC. The event will be held at Crandall's Family Style Restaurant on Monday, September 23rd from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Dine-in and To-Go orders are available. The cost is $15 for Adults, $12 for 10 and under, and under 3 are free. Tickets will be available at the door or from St. John's Church Members. Please call 815-648-2671 for more details.
Fall Hydrant flushing will take place September 23 through September 27, 2019 from 9am-3pm, weather permitting. We will notify you of any possible date extensions. Run all faucets and flush all facilities if discoloration occurs. Check your water prior to doing any laundry. Clarke Environmental will be performing a community-wide adult mosquito control application Friday, August 30th, weather permitting. This will be the seventh application of the season.
The first Hebron's Biggest Loser Contest weigh in will be August 30 from 6-7 p.m. or August 31 from 1-3 p.m. at Harts Saloon with the final weigh in being on December 1st from 1-4 p.m. Weekly weigh ins will start on September 9 and be every Monday thereafter from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 6-7 pm at Harts Saloon. Weekly and final weigh ins must be done at the listed times to make it fair for all participants! The cost is $20 per person and is due when you weigh in during the August weigh in dates. The 50th Annual Intellectual Disabilities or "Tootsie Roll" Fund Drive is one of the most recognizable activities that the Knights of Columbus hosts. The funds generated from this drive are to support local programs which help people with special learning needs. This year the event will be on September 20 through September 22, 2019.
The Village of Hebron is pleased to be a partner community in the MCRide Program which is a curb-to-curb, demand-response public transit service available to McHenry County residents traveling within and between partner communities. Riders call the Pace Call Center 1-800-451-4599 to schedule a trip the day before they need a ride or up to seven days in advance for seniors and individuals with a disability. The fare is based on distance traveled: the general public pays a base fare of $3.00 for the first five miles and $0.25 for each additional mile; and seniors and individuals with a disability pay a base fare of $1.50 for the first five miles and $0.25 for each additional mile. MCRide service hours are Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Detailed information on how to ride can be found in the brochure or rider’s guide.
MCRide partner communities include: City of Crystal Lake, City of Harvard, City of Marengo, City of McHenry, City of Woodstock, Village of Fox River Grove, Village of Hebron, Village of Huntley, Village of Johnsburg, Village of Lakewood, Village of Ringwood, Village of Richmond, Village of Union, Dorr Township, Grafton Township, Greenwood Township, Marengo Township, McHenry Township, Nunda Township, Riley Township, Chemung Township, and Richmond Township. Beginning in 2018 McHenry County Conservation sites have been added to the service area including: Brookdale Conservation Area, Glacial Park - Lost Valley Visitor Center, and the Hollows Conservation Area.

The Illinois Department of Transportation will begin 1.8 miles of resurfacing and pedestrian ramps on IL 47 from State Line Road to IL 173 in the Village of Hebron with an estimated start date of August 2019 and estimated completion date of November 2019.
When completed, this project will improve the operation of the highway facility. Please leave extra time when traveling in this area during this project. IDOT has apologized for the inconvenience that this may cause to the residents of Hebron. Thank you for your patience and understanding!
The Village of Hebron is accepting applications for a part time water and sewer billing clerk for 15-20 hours per week with a starting pay from $12.00 to $15.00 per hour. Computer knowledge and working with the public is a plus. The Village will be accepting applications until the position is filled.
